Continuing Professional Development

Within Aberdeen city CPD courses are offered both directly to schools/cluster groups/pre-school groups and also through the Aberdeen Summerhill calendar of courses. The cost of Summerhill courses for Aberdeen city teachers is covered by Aberdeen Education.  Teachers from Aberdeenshire or any other area can attend but should contact Anna Bennett for details of charges. abennett@aberdeencity.gov.uk tel 01224 346 027.

Anyone interested in attending a course at Summerhill must register with Anna Bennett abennett@aberdeencity.gov.uk tel 01224 346 027

For other school based courses please contact us .

In Aberdeenshire courses are usually taken up by individual schools/cluster groups/pre-school groups. If any other grouping of teachers/educators are interested in any of the courses e.g. modern studies teachers, citizenship co-ordinators please get in touch with the centre. A charge is usually made for a course as the centre receives no funding from Aberdeenshire Council.

All courses include resource recommendation and a selection of suitable resources is available to borrow at the event.

Minimum number for a course is 8-10 participants. Maximum number 24 participants.

Fuller details of courses are available from CPDFind, the MDEC, or for Aberdeen courses from the Aberdeen descriptor, which can be downloaded from the Aberdeen CPD Glow Group.
