Aberdeen City Schools Fairtrade Fortnight Event

Aberdeen Fairtrade are hosting an event to coincide with the National Fairtrade Fortnight Big Swap (22 Feb – 7 March 2010).  All schools are invited to take part.

 

 

Theme: Let’s Swap to Fairtrade

Date: Tues 2nd March

Time: 9.30am for a 10.00am start – 12.30pm finish

Venue: Robert Gordon University – exact location to be confirmed

 

 A chance for representatives from your school to: 

  •   Meet an overseas Fairtrade producer 
  •  Share your school’s progress in Swapping to Fairtrade
  •  Get new ideas on Swapping from other schools
  • Join in with a range of Fairtrade activities.  

Each school should send a representative group of 4 pupils, accompanied by a staff member, to the event, where they will make a 5-10 min presentation, with a supporting A1 sized display - this should be prepared beforehand and brought on the day, on the theme of “Let’s Swap to Fairtrade”. 

Please note there will be no IT facilities available for the presentation so an IT presentation should not be made.

 

If your school is interested in taking part, please complete and return the attached Registration Form to the Montgomery Development Education Centre by 29th Jan 2010 at the latest.
