New Fair Trade Project 2010 for Schools

We are running a new Fair Trade project from Sept - Dec 2010, which is offered to all schools free of charge.  The project offers excellent opportunities for Curriculum for Excellence development and whole school activity, as well as a chance to join up citizenship, Eco-Schools, Rights Respecting School Award, health education, sustainable development and enterprise. 

The project offers

  • CPD training to staff to show how to use fair trade in the classroom
  • a specialist filming workshop with Aberdeen College
  • a class visit for schools new to fair trade work
  • training input from the Fairtrade City team
  • a network sharing meeting for all schools in the project to share good practice

The first CPD session is running in three locations:

Wednesday 8th September 4.15 - 5.45pm Dunnottar School, Stonehaven

Tuesday 14th September 4.15 - 5.45pm Elrick School, Westhill

Wednesday 15th September 4.15- 5.45pm Aberdeen Grammar School, Skene Street, Aberdeen.
