For all North-East Secondary Staff and Senior Managers (Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray and Angus):

Embedding Global Citizenship within Curriculum for Excellence

Organised in partnership by Montgomery DEC and Aberdeen City Council Education, Culture and Sport Service

Whether you are 

  • experienced in integrating global citizenship within your teaching or keen to start but don't quite know how
  • teaching a subject like Modern Studies OR ANY OTHER SUBJECT AREA
  • a young teacher or have been teaching for years
  • a classroom teacher, Head of Faculty or member of school management team

the day will offer a great chance , through a range of workshops to

  • get to grips with Global Citizenship and
  • its place within Curriculum for Excellence in meeting the needs of your students in a fast-changing interdependent world
  • be introduced to various active learning teachniques, global citizenship content, interdisciplinary / transition learning ideas and have space to consider content planning
  • meet and share with / learn from other teachers and
  • be introduced to a wide range of resources that can support you.

The day will be held at Aberdeen CPD Centre, Frederick St, AB24 5HY

from 9.30am to 3.30pm
